After an on-again-off-again relationship, Malaysian social media personality Ameera Khan and Indonesian actor Jefri Nichol have officially called it quits. Following the news, there are now rumours that Ameera is seeing a more prominent public figure.
Earlier this week, Ameera updated her Instagram account with another photo dump post featuring photos from her trip to Dubai. While most of the pictures don’t appear to be out of the ordinary, some of the images seem to include a mystery man. Given the way the shots were framed, it’s possible that Ameera was deliberately shielding the man’s identity.
Of course, the cheeky “soft launch” had many netizens intrigued. Some even took up the challenge to uncover the identity of the man using the small details shown in the photos. Surprisingly, netizens claim that the mystery man in Ameera’s post is YM Tengku Dato’ Seri Abu Bakar Ahmad, a member of the Pahang Royal Family.
One Threads post suggests that the man’s necklace is similar to the one Tengku Bakar often sports, leading many to believe he’s the one in Ameera’s photos. Tengku Bakar is the son of YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Tan Sri Abdullah Sultan Abu Bakar, the younger brother of the Sultan of Pahang. He’s also the President of the Malaysia Padel Association.
A quick search shows that Ameera and Tengku Bakar follow each other on Instagram, confirming that the two are at least acquaintances. Despite little evidence of their relationship, many netizens have reacted to the possible romance, showing support for the pair. Some even quipped that Tengku Bakar is a better match for Ameera than Jefri.
