Ariana Grande and Big Sean are best known for being one of the sweetest couples in the music industry. However, representatives from both agencies exclusively confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple have officially broken up after 8 months of dating.
The reps told Us Weekly in a joint statement that both of them still “deeply care for each other “, but have decided to “remain close friends”.
The reps further stated:
We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time.
Before Sean got together with the “Love Me Harder” singer, he called off his engagement with “Glee” star Naya Rivera in April 2014. At that time, Grande was still in a relationship with The Janoskians’ Jai Brooks. In August 2014, Grande broke up with Brooks and was later spotted holding Sean’s hands backstage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.
Sean collaborated with Grande on various tracks and was even featured in her music videos for “Right There” and “Problem”. After confirming that they are officially an item in October 2014, the couple made their relationship very public with onstage duets and PDA.
It was also revealed that the couple shared a very passionate kiss onstage during Grande’s “Honeymoon tour” on 7th March. She then took to Instagram to share a selfie with him.

An insider close to the couple told US Weekly that they’ve decided to “quietly and” amicably” end their relationship, which happened a few weeks ago. Another source said, “They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year.”
Grande is currently in the middle of her “Honeymoon Tour” while Sean is currently promoting his latest album “Dark Sky Paradise”.
