If you’ve been following Aedy Ashraf on his Instagram, you’d probably notice that the actor has been sharing numerous photos of himself showing off his lean physique for the public to see.
That said, Aedy also couldn’t avoid himself from being subjected to online criticisms for frequently uploading the shirtless photos on his personal social media account. This case is no different with his most recent update on his IG.
Just a day ago (Wednesday, 6th October), the “Projek Anchor SPM” star once again treated his 815k followers on Instagram with a few shots of himself without his shirt on. Unsurprisingly, the caption-less IG post was met with backlash from a bunch of nitpickers online. The Kelantan-born heartthrob was frowned upon for not covering his ‘aurat’.
On the other hand, there were also a few loyal fans of Aedy (full name Mohammed Zaedy Ashraf bin Rosmadi) who immediately came to his defence. In this case, they argued that there’s literally nothing to fuss over the sizzling posts shared by the male celeb. To quote these fans, “These haters need to chill. It’s not like he posted photos of himself in the nude.”
However, other fans didn’t react too kindly with their opinion. One netizen pointed out, “Then, should we wait for him to appear naked before we can reprimand him? FYI, men’s aurat (intimate parts) refers to the part of the body from the navel to the knees. It’s obligatory, so that’s why we need to teach him a lesson so that everyone else can also learn from this.”
Amid the heated backlash, Aedy himself seems unbothered to reply to the negative comments. In a previous interview, however, the 28-year-old stated that he’s just being his real self when it comes to sharing his posts on social media.
In addressing the online criticisms, Aedy expressed, “Whether I’m being criticised or not, I never cared. If you don’t like it, don’t look at my photos. It’s as simple as that.”
