One of the most frustrating things about being a celebrity is receiving unsolicited lewd messages from strange individuals, claiming themselves to be fans. Some, like Baby Shima, have bravely called out these perverts on social media to teach them a lesson while others like Adira gave a stern reminder after someone invited her for a hook up.
Diana Danielle, unfortunately, is the latest victim of these unwelcome messages. Earlier this week, the actress was doing a Q&A session with fans on Instagram when she came across a message from an individual who apparently threatened to rape her saying, “Soon I will rape you”.
The disturbing message was obviously not going to be ignored. The singer immediately called out the user on her (now-expired) IG Stories by exposing their account and demanding an apology. “Either you apologise to me right now or I will bring you to court for what you said. Just because you’re anonymous, doesn’t mean you can just say whatever you want. I can easily find your personal information, do not underestimate me even for a second,” she sternly said.
The mother-of-two received what she asked for as the individual quickly apologised for their words. Unfortunately for them, Diana wasn’t going to let this slide so easily as she would be taking legal action against them. “I will still lodge a police report (so that it) really sinks into your thick skull. You literally threatened to rape me,” the 32-year-old stated.
Apparently, this was not actually the first time Diana received a rape threat. According to a report by mStar back in 2018, the celeb once exposed a man on Facebook who proposed to other users that they should gangbang Farid Kamil’s wife. What’s unsettling is that the man had a background of being a bodyguard, a position meant to ensure the safety of the people he’s assigned to.
Fearing for her and her family’s safety at the time, the actress said that she would be filing a police report against those netizens. It’s definitely concerning that Diana had to report rape threats twice in her life now but we do hope that the authorities will take this matter seriously and take appropriate action.
