Of course, netizens have been curious about her personal life. Some even speculated that Daiyan is being sponsored by a sugar daddy! Refusing to stay mum, the 29-year-old immediately came forward to shed some light on the claims.
Speaking in an interview with Kosmo, Daiyan explained that she managed to own a property now thanks to her own hard work. According to her, “There are some people who don’t see the hardship I went through, and label me as a ‘sugar baby’. I’m kind of upset. I’ve been working tirelessly, but there are still people out there who came up with such serious accusations.”
“I’m saddened by this allegation, this proves that some people still think that a woman can’t stand on her own feet and be successful,” she added. “On the other hand, you don’t hear people accusing successful men of having sugar mummies. This sexist accusation is obviously unfair to women.”
“I never show all the trials and tribulations that I’ve gone through before, because I’m being sincere in my work. My parents’ prayers also played a part, as I was able to accomplish some of my dreams. My fans have never questioned me because they know the hard work I’ve put in,” the “Penat” singer added in the chat.
Despite feeling disheartened by the nasty rumour, Daiyan stated that she refuses to dwell on this. “I’ll just continue with what I’ve been doing and make my parents happy. I’m thankful to God and I pray that people out there can also work towards a better future for themselves,” the “Projek Anchor SPM” star said.
