It’s time to bring out the flags once again as we celebrate Malaysia Day this week. With the long weekend approaching, this is a time to celebrate unions, embrace our differences, and most importantly, to fully enjoy the break. Let the colours of Malaysia’s Jalur Gemilang guide your decision on what to watch on Disney+ Hotstar this Malaysia Day.

1. Red for persistence and boldness

With the right intentions and a little dose of bravery, anything can be achieved. The characters in “Big Mouth” embody this spirit of persistence as they relentlessly fight for justice. Starring Lee Jong-suk and Im Yoon-ah, “Big Mouth” will take you head first into the life of a second-rate lawyer who takes on a world-renowned criminal and a corrupt government. Murder, theft, and an ongoing battle of wits – catch who will come out on top in the finale premiering this Malaysia Day.

2. White represents nobility and integrity

If there was a single character in the Star Wars universe that represents the best of the best, it’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. A legendary Jedi Master and trusted mentor, he takes on Darth Vader in a mission to rescue Anakin’s daughter, Leia, after she is kidnapped by the enemy. Obi-Wan is a symbol of integrity that ensures no one gets hurt in his crusade against the Galactic Empire.

3. Blue is the symbol of unity

Malaysia Day is all about coming together as a nation, and nothing brings everyone together quite like our favourite young Malaysian superhero. As you spend time with your family and friends this weekend, be sure to catch “Ejen Ali” as he joins forces with his friends from the MATA Academy to participate in the MATA Arena Competition.

4. Yellow is the colour of royalty

Lions are known as the Kings of the Jungle, and are a symbol of strength and royalty. Take a trip down memory lane with Disney’s live action remake of “The Lion King”. Watch our favourite characters come to life in this retelling of Simba’s journey as he reclaims his rightful place as the leader of Pride Lands – he just can’t wait to be King!

Wave your Jalur Gemilang with pride as you celebrate this Malaysia Day weekend with Disney+ Hotstar.
