A Greener Journey Begins: Why The Corolla Cross HEV Is The Future Of Everyday Driving

Worrying for the very earth you walk on and doing your best to preserve it is a noble goal; in fact, it’s a duty. Many of us tend to forget that sustaining the environment should be a key criterion whenever we’re scouting for a new car. But caring for the world is a sisyphean task for one person, especially since the world doesn’t stop for anyone. With everyone needing to be on the go, isn’t there an alternative that we can reliably use to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining our way of life?

Luckily for us, there is. For decades, Toyota has made it its mission to make sustainable driving not just a fact or a possibility, but the norm. And the brand is slowly accomplishing this goal, one Toyota Corolla Cross at a time.

So you’re looking for a lean, green driving machine? One that has the style to go toe-to-toe with the heavy hitters on the road, yet doesn’t burn through fuel like an athlete going through water bottles during a marathon? Well, the HEV is the one for you, thanks to its intuitive VVTT-i tech engine that’s not only super lightweight, but also fuel efficient. It not only preserves your fuel for longer road trips with your friends and family, but also substantially reduces any carbon footprint you’d produce with a regular petrol car.

Despite all this, Toyota takes things even further. As you drive around, whether through inefficient fuel consumption or friction of moving parts, some energy is lost, and there’s no way of getting it back. The Corolla Cross HEV is a self-charging hybrid, which means that it captures the kinetic energy from braking and deceleration to power your electric motor. How cool is that?

Good For Your Wallet AND The Environment: The Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid

Visually, the facelift has given the Corolla Cross HEV more presence. A new body-colour grille and bumper adds a touch of premium polish. The Bi-LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights with sequential turn signals adds flair to its overall look, giving the HEV a confident, wide stance. Adding to the excitement, it now comes in a striking new colour – Dark Turquoise, which will (metaphorically) turn heads on the road.

It’s no surprise that the HEV also ticks all the right aesthetic boxes on its interiors as well. Inside, it comes with a 12.3-inch full-colour multi-information display screen that ensures you stay connected and informed. On top of that, an Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with auto brake hold replaces the conventional foot pedal brake, further adding to an extra convenient driving experience. Apart from the tangible comforts in the car, its latest black leather upholstery with silver stitching and dark brown accents expresses a sophisticated image.

Though compact, the HEV brings with it a ton of power. It takes hybrid performance to the next level with the 4th Generation Toyota Hybrid Electric System and an E-Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT). Its compact size, lightweight design, and smooth power delivery allow it to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency and driving performance. Not to mention, the noise level is barely audible when switching to the EV mode which is a major plus point for all HEV models.

By creating vehicles so durable that they can be enjoyed by and even passed down to future generations, Toyota has solved the problem of more and more cars heading to the landfill, where they can potentially leak harmful chemicals into the environment. Whether it’s through a revised production process or creating HEVs, Toyota has committed itself to protecting the environment and reducing carbon emissions for the betterment of the world.
