Residents of Subang Jaya welcomed a new chapter in retail lifestyle today with the opening of da:men, USJ’s latest Asian Lifestyle mall today. Officiated with a simple ribbon cutting ceremony, eager shoppers and visitors were treated to ceremonious 24-piece drum ensemble and symbolic 16-set Lion Dance performance before the main doors were open for the first time.
da:men, which literally translates to “Big Doors” or “Doors of Prosperity” in Chinese, is set to change the shopping dynamism for Subang Jaya and its surrounding neighbourhoods through its fresh and innovative one of its kind retail and dining experiences.
Be it an individual or family, da:men promised that its mall has something to offer all its shoppers and patrons for years to come.
The mall itself is designed uniquely, created specifically to showcase its “Live Loud” mantra with each floor promising a specific shopping experience that consumers of today crave for. The new mall has 4 entrances that serves as the main drop off and pick up for shoppers.
Boasting a retail space of 420,000 square feet, the 6-storey shopping mall houses 280 retail outlets providing the very best in beauty, fashion, dining, and lifestyle experiences catering to everyone.
The 10,000 square feet Beauty Queendom, anchored by SaSa Zensation in collaboration with A Cut Above and Oriental Spa, houses 15 brands such as Beautime, Hanna & Kent, D’Natural, Bloop, Kasumi Beauty, and Wunderbath. da:men will also be the home for PasarBella, the artisan concept marketplace from Singapore.
Food connoisseurs will not be disappointed by the myriad of dining selections available at da:men such as The Melting Pot and Delica (Lower Ground); AM-PM (the day to night dining choices) and AKIBA, the Japanese Food Street concept restaurant) on the fourth floor. da:men will also introduce its new lifestyle food hall using a cashless paying system called THE CANTEEN. This concept food hall has themed seating areas and 12 food stalls with over 200 dishes to delight one’s palate.
Other new dining options will come from Grand Harbour Restaurant; Grandmama’s; Morganfields; Tonkatsu; De Hunan; Nam Heong; Lim KoPi; Sukiya, Sangkaya plus Tea Press (Tea Roasters from Japan).
