MsPuiyi, also known as Siew Pui Yi, has a lot on her plate with her ever-growing popularity (she just hit 20mil on IG) and online presence. Her talents have given her the opportunity to broaden her career beyond modelling, as she begins her acting career in her first film.
Despite this, the OnlyFans content creator had also encountered her fair share of difficulties in her early years in the industry. In a podcast called the Titan Podcast that was uploaded a few days ago, MsPuiyi spoke about being shadowbanned from her social media platforms and revealed the loopholes she discovered in the community guidelines to Singaporean influencers, JianHao and Amander.
Given that the Internet sensation posts explicit photos of herself online, the hosts wondered why some influencers were being shadowbanned despite posting similar content. “They introduced a new community guideline called sexual socialisation. That’s when at least 30% of the girls who weren’t even Only Fans creators, but sexy girls, were taken down. It was like a massive purge that (occurred) overnight,” she elaborated.
She continues to describe her own experience with being shadowbanned and denied having important Facebook friends who could’ve helped her avoid it, “Last time you could either show your bare back or body (as long as) you do not show your private parts. This is how it was before the new community guidelines (was established).” She mentioned how as a creator, she had to constantly be aware of the guideline updates in order to post her risky content, and she also has a team of social media experts that are on top of things like these.
However, it wasn’t always this way, as the creator clarified that there was a time when the community of female creators from all over the world assisted each other in ensuring their posts complied with the community guidelines. “If you’re shadowbanned, take down the link in your bio, or try to log out of your account for 24 hours before logging back in. If you want to get back on the suggestions list, either remove your bio link or change your profile picture two or three times,” she continued.
The supermodel said that some publicists would pay a certain amount to have influencers verified or retrieve their accounts that got banned, but only if they have one million to eight million followers. “If some of the girls need to get verified, I will give (my publicist’s) contact because this type of publicist is very hard to find and they are not out in the market. It’s an underground table publicist, so you have to fish for it and some of them (the girls) will encounter scammers.”
MsPuiyi also mentioned that there used to be men on her team, but they would leave after two to three months because they couldn’t focus at work and couldn’t handle the pressure of working for an OnlyFans creator. Watch the video here:
