Production for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is well underway, but details have mostly been kept under wraps.
However, someone recently spotted Tony Leung Chiu-wai (梁朝偉) in Australia for the shooting of Marvel’s first Asian superhero film. In case you didn’t know, Tony has been cast to play main villain The Mandarin.
Although the 57-year-old actor wasn’t not seen with main star Simu Liu (劉思慕) or Awkwafina, onlookers noticed that he was accompanied by 3 other female companions at Golden Century Seafood Restaurant in Sydney. They apparently ordered a whole bunch dim sum dishes.
Wife Carina Lau (劉嘉玲) wasn’t with Tony at the Chinese restaurant, but the actress took to her Instagram to post some scenic pictures from her trip around Sydney – they include the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. As Tony’s manager, Carina is in charge of overseeing her hubby’s day-to-day operations.
Update (6th February):
Twitter user Eternalsnews, who provides updates on upcoming MCU movies, updated followers that Tony has been filming his scenes in Centennial Park in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Co-star Awkwafina also revealed that she has been in Sydney since 23rd January.
A Malaysian residing in Sydney named Adrick Wong was lucky to get a photo with Tony himself when he was dining at The Eight Modern Chinese Restaurant.
