K-beauty is more than just a trend that’s been popping up on your TikTok and Instagram feeds. Many of these products have gone on to be best sellers in the market. But why is it so popular? It’s easy to look at our favourite K-pop stars and Korean actors and crave to have their “glass skin”. With that in mind, it’s more than just skincare – but a lifestyle.
In case you weren’t aware, Korean children start adopting the habit of moisturizing, exfoliating, cleansing the skin thoroughly, and protecting their skin with SPF from a very young age. These traditions are passed down through generations. The good news is— you don’t need to break the bank to get your hands on these Korean products. Thanks to Most Young Global, Malaysians can now elevate their lifestyle at an affordable price tag.
Round Lab’s Dokdo Skincare
If you’re familiar with Korean skincare, Round Lab probably needs no introduction. Known for sourcing clean and raw ingredients from deep sea water and birch trees, it’s no surprise that their products have been consistent best sellers at Olive Young (the Sephora of South Korea, essentially). The Dokdo Toner, for instance, is a water-based toner that replenishes moisture and mildly exfoliates the face. It also has great spreadability and it absorbs into the skin within seconds. It’s a great beginner-friendly Korean toner that leaves your skin refreshed and ready to absorb subsequent serums and moisturizers.
Another highlight is the Birch Sunscreen SPF and skincare line. Birch Juice doesn’t just reduce inflammation but also protects the skin from irritants and stimulates skin renewal while maintaining the skin’s moisture balance. Round Lab’s sunscreen range certainly checks off all the boxes for us. The Birch Sunscreen goes on very creamy but it melts into the skin very quickly. The Sun Stick SPF 50 is also easy to use and we love how it glides on our skin when applying it. Having said that, those with oily skin may find the greasiness a bit too much, so it really comes down to your skin type and sensitivity.

Farmstay
Farmstay has an extensive range of skincare featuring ingredients like snail filtrate, aloe, ginseng, horse oil and bird’s nest. However, we’d like to highlight 2 line-ups that are now available in Malaysia— the Citrus Yuja and Cica Farm.
Citrus Yuja uses the vitamin C of Yuja that not only gives off a fresh citrus scent but the natural ingredients help to moisturize the skin to keep it vitalized and fresh. The Citrus Yuja cream claims to have zero irritation to the face, so those with skin sensitivity are recommended to give it a try.
Likewise, the Cica Farm also promotes non-irritating skin care. It has mild moisturizing qualities that relaxes and soothes the skin. Cica Farm products balances the ratio of oil and water to lock the moisture in the skin for a long-lasting effect.
