5 Facts About The Popular Netflix Series “You” Season 2

If you own a Netflix account and like psychological thrillers than you must know about the series, “You”.

The Netflix’s book adaptation, saw massive success on its release back in September 2018 with an estimated viewership of 40 millions. This resulted in the production of the second season of the series. So here are 5 things you can expect from the second season.

1. Release Date

The release date of the series was announced earlier this week. Through, the series’ official Twitter account that announced the return date on 26th December 2019 also brought along a new poster for the series with the words “Meet Your Match” on it.

Sounds ominous? It should.

2. New Cast

Along with the new season, the series also brings along some new cast. This is to reflect the new setting and characters found in the second season. The new cast include Victoria Pedretti, James Scully, Jenna Ortega and many more. The only characters returning so far is Penn Badgley’s character, Joe Goldberg, who is the protagonist of the series. And also Guinevere Beck, played by Elizabeth Lail.

3. Set In Los Angeles

As mentioned before, the series will be headed to a new location and that location is Los Angeles. According to the “You” book sequel, “Hidden Bodies”, Goldberg who came to Los Angeles, fell in love with the city immediately after arriving. It is the place where he finds his next target, an inspiring chef named Love Quinn.

4. Exploring Goldberg’s Past

Last season, we learned how Mr Mooney, who was Goldberg’s guardian and boss at the bookstore, was the source of the Badgley’s character madness. But this second season will have fans exploring more about the former bookstore manager abusive childhood and the relationship he had with Mooney.

5. How Many Episodes 

The series will have 10 episodes in total, with the first episode titled “A Fresh Start”. And the 10th and last episode of the series titled “Love, Actually” is directed by Silver Tree and written by Sera Gamble & Neil Reynolds.
