It’s no secret that the Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on numerous domestic industries. From the aviation field to the entertainment scene, the outbreak has caused a drastic decline in commercial profits regionally. This in return has made it difficult for many to make ends meet. Thankfully, four companies have come to the rescue!

Enter Nescafe’s M-Drive In Cinema. A collaborative effort between 2Spicy Entertainment and MD Events, the Nescafe’s M-Drive in Cinema aims to provide movie-goers with a new cinematic experience. The project, supported by Nescafe and Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), is a joint initiative to revive the country’s economy.

In conjunction with the launch, here are 3 reasons to quickly catch a movie at the drive-in!

1. A New Cinematic Experience

Ever wanted to try watching a movie in a drive-in cinema like your favourite Hollywood movie characters?

Well, this is your chance! Dubbed as one of Malaysia’s first EVER drive-in cinema, local movie-goers can finally enjoy a new cinematic experience. Located in the heart of KL, viewers will be entertained at the comfort of their cars while enjoying the cold breeze and the beautiful sight of the capital city.

Did we mention the Insta-worthy photos? Yup, thanks to the strategic venue, you can get the perfect picture for your Instagram in no time!

2. Limited Time Only

Although it was created to boost the economy, the drive-in cinema will only be operated for three months. Throughout the following months, movie lovers can get to enjoy Hollywood classics like “Titanic” and regional masterpieces like “Jangan Pandang Belakang”.

However, if you feel like watching an action-packed film, you’re in luck! This is because Nescafe’s M-Drive In Cinema was among the 77 cinemas to premiere the latest Hollywood action film’s “Legacy Of Lies.” As for the sessions, there are only two screening sessions per day at 6pm and 9pm.

Tickets are priced at RM 99 for the standard package, whereas the VIP package is sold at the price of RM 159.

3. Safe & Comfortable

Nothing is more important than safety in this current pandemic.

No one understands this more than the event’s sponsors. In fact, the drive in-cinema is designed to only accommodate 50 cars per session. In addition, two visitors are only allowed per car and are required to get their temperatures checked before entry.

To further ensure safety, a cashless online system is created to minimise contact. Upon request, moviegoers will get their orders directly delivered to them. Despite the strict regulations, customers can look forward to receiving first-class treatment as their comfortability are prioritised.

For instance, you can wear whatever you want. Your favourite Pajamas? Your favourite comfy long t-shirts? You name it. (As long as it is appropriate!) But that’s not the best part!

Every driver is given a personal speaker and a portable rechargeable fan. Do you know what this means? This means you get to determine how loud or soft the volume gets to be. This will come in handy when you are watching horror flicks like “Annabelle”. Furthermore, a crew of staff is available to assist you during your visit.

As for portable fans, it serves to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide. Therefore, attendees are encouraged to turn off their engines for the duration of the movie, as a symbol of commitment to the planet.

So, what are you waiting for? Purchase a movie ticket here now before it runs out!
