Calling all footwear fanatics – it’s your time to shine, because these three brands have new signature shoes for you to try on.
Ranging from tried-and-tested skateboarding shoes to casual slip-ons, these kicks will feed your nostalgia with their reworked silhouettes from yonks ago! Here’s what you can expect:
New Balance Andrew Reynolds 480
Get ready to relive your ‘80s and ‘90s nostalgia as New Balance brings you the New Balance Andrew Reynolds 480. Based on the extremely-popular silhouette that debuted back in 1983, the Boston-based brand has reintroduced this classic for the next generation of skaters.
The NB Numeric 480 features a lightweight suede construction with a durable mesh upper, delivering both style and breathability. Though it was retro-inspired or based on an old design, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with a few new upgrades. Inside, you’ll notice that the insole is made with FuelCell foam, a light and springy material that gives you that needed spring in each of your steps. It also comes packed with a reinforced toe cap, saving you from the biggest trips to the smallest of toe stubbings.
Aesthetically speaking, this shoe borrows a lot from its predecessors, which helps evoke some sense of sentimentality for the golden era of skateboarding. But thanks to the brand new colourway of Sea Salt/Brown, the New Balance Andrew Reynolds 480 is a versatile choice for both skateboarding, or when you just want to level up your style.
The New Balance Andrew Reynolds 480 will be available on New Balance’s official website on 29th July for US$100 (~RM467).
Satisfy x Crocs Quick Trail Low
Ever since the pandemic, Crocs has become the signature slip-on that people have been clamouring for. But many aren’t really thrilled by its design, and others don’t take the shoe too seriously, as it isn’t really made for the outdoors. Which is why this American-based brand is collaborating with Satisfy, a French-based apparel brand, to once again bring back its Quick Trail Low line of footwear.
The brand’s classic mules are elevated in utility with this tough design, which has a foam upper with rubberized areas placed thoughtfully close to the toe for added protection. The mesh collar and drawcord closure offer a snug, supportive fit for muddy walks and uphill hikes, but perforations throughout provide the signature breathability that Crocs are famous for.
The Satisfy x Crocs Quick Trail Low will be available on 25th July in “Tumbleweed” beige and “Moss” green and can be purchased on Satisfy and Crocs’s official website.
GOLF WANG x Clarks Heart Print Wallabee
Since the beginning of the year, GOLF WANG and Clarks have been teasing this stellar footwear, and it will finally drop later this week.
For those looking for trendier and more casual footwear, the Heart Print Wallabee is meant for you. These loafers are a textural wonderland, as they feature an embroidered suede upper with a natural pebble crepe sole. This is also where the shoe got its name, as heart prints dot the entire surface of the loafers.
The GOLF WANG x Clarks Wallabees come in three different colours – pastel pink, green, and black – and will be available on 27th July on the GOLF WANG website.
