Earlier this year, renowned chocolate company SNICKERS announced SEVENTEEN’s (세븐틴) member Mingyu (민규) as the brand’s official ambassador. Since then, the rapper has actively travelled across Asia to attend various promotional events. He has fully embraced his new role with great dedication.
On 5th July (Saturday), Mingyu made a special appearance at Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia. The event, which ran from 3rd July (Thursday) to 6th July (Sunday), gave him the perfect opportunity to connect personally with CARATs (캐럿), SEVENTEEN’s passionate fanbase in Malaysia. Fans were thrilled to meet him up close and share memorable moments.

Kim Mingyu (김민규) is a member of SEVENTEEN. Furthermore, the multitalented idol is well known for directing many of the group’s music videos, including their hit song “Snap Shoot.” He also designed the adorable mascots that fans have come to cherish.
Beyond his creative talents, the idol consistently showcases strong stage presence and charisma. This combination further solidifies his position as a key member of the group. His ability to balance multiple roles—from performer to director and designer—makes him a unique and invaluable asset to SEVENTEEN’s ongoing success, which is why he is the perfect choice for a brand ambassador.

In a recent Weverse livestream, Mingyu responded to a fan’s question about returning to Malaysia by saying, “Malaysia was so fun~ I had such a good trip thanks to everyone, and there were so many fans, so I felt like I was getting good energy again.” He expressed how much he enjoyed his time there and appreciated the support from Malaysian CARATs.
He emphasised the positive and uplifting energy he received from the fans, which made his trip especially memorable. Mingyu’s simple but heartfelt words showed his gratitude for the warm reception and left fans hopeful for his future visits.
