Over the weekend (21st June 2024), the annual “Heineken Refresh” event saw the likes of Girls’ Generation/SNSD’s (소녀시대) Hyoyeon (김효연) up at Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands. Sharing her electrifying set on her Instagram, she captions her post, “I LOVE MALAYSIA”, as we get a glimpse of her behind the deck.
Featured in her post were moments from her one-hour set for “Heineken Refresh”. In true Heineken fashion, Hyoyeon, also known by her stage name DJ Hyo, poses with cans of Heineken beer. The singer also shared photos with local DJ, Jovynn and Heineken Refresh headliner, Zedd, taken backstage.
Netizens flood the comments section with love and praise over her performance, with Instagram user @/kanelit_7 commenting, “HYO best set of the night”. Other fans have also noticed how often the K-pop idol would come and visit Malaysia and suggested she buy a residence here. Instagram user @/hana9jjang comments, “Going back to your hometown, Hyo?”.
