The entertainment world first got the news of iconic Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s split back in 2016, and it remains a hot topic to this day. For the most part, both parties choose to keep their divorce proceedings and legal matters to themselves, save for some interviews that the two have commented on.
Five months after the finalisation of their divorce, Brad Pitt has publicly commented about the split during an interview with GQ Magazine published on 28th May 2025. The F1 actor opened up about the aftermath of the settlement, as well as learning how to live with the “annoyance” of constantly being in the public eye.

During an interview on his role in the F1 movie, Brad briefly opened up about finalising his divorce from Angelina. When asked if there was relief on the other side of divorce, he said, “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition, legally”. The 61-year-old actor, who is currently dating Ines De Ramon, commented briefly about their first public appearance together.
“No, dude, it’s not that calculated. If you’re living, oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you’re living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve”, when asked if their debut appearance was at an F1 race was deliberate.
When asked if his role in F1 provides refuge from the public eye, Brad comments that his life is constantly in the public eye, and it’s been an “annoyance” that he has to deal with even when doing things he wants to do. “My life is fairly contained,” he added. “It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it’s like this fly buzzing around a little bit”.

On the other hand, Jolie’s lawyer commented on the settlement, saying, “She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over”.
