No one works forever (nor should they), as the day will come when we hang up our coats and retire from work. The same applies to musical icons who have entertained fans for decades and left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. While fans may never be ready for that day to come, it is something we will all eventually have to accept.
BIGBANG member, G-Dragon (권지용), who will be performing in Malaysia later this year, was recently asked about his plans for his future and possibly retiring from the music industry. This was what the idol had to say:

G-Dragon appeared as a guest on a recent episode of the “Halmyungsoo” show on YouTube. It was reportedly the first time the rapper and comedian Park Myung-soo had seen each other in 14 years. The two played games and discussed various topics, including retirement. The host shared his plan to retire at the age of 60, before asking the idol about his own thoughts on stepping away from the spotlight.
The 37-year-old revealed that he hadn’t given it much thought, saying: “Maybe because I’m younger, but I haven’t set an age. In music, I don’t think it’s up to me. I still get inspired and feel passionate, so I’ll keep going as long as that continues.” He added that one shouldn’t impose limits on themselves, and that people should pursue their passion for as long as they want to.

In addition to retirement, the two stars also discussed marriage. Park Myung-soo asked the BIGBANG member whether he had ever considered settling down, to which he replied: “It’s not that I haven’t thought about it. Of course I have, but I’m not thinking about it seriously right now.” He also revealed that he has never performed at anyone’s wedding – not even his sister’s, despite her request. He then joked that he might write and sing a song at his own wedding if the day ever comes.
