We often hear Hong Kong stars coming to Malaysia to perform at concerts or hold meet and greets, but it’s rare to hear that they’ll perform a stage play! Recently, Hong Kong-based theatre company Zuni Icosahedron announced plans to bring one of the stage plays to Kuala Lumpur!
“Left Unsaid” is a dark drama stage play starring award-winning actress Cecilia Yip (叶童) and veteran actor Kenny Wong (黄德斌). The story talks about a neurosurgeon and his neurologist wife who cannot communicate despite conversing with each other every day. Directed by Mathias Woo, this play is an adaptation of an original stage play by Yu Rong Jin, the artistic director of the Shanghai Drama Arts Centre.

The play debuted in Hong Kong in November 2024 and received rave reviews from the public. Following its successful first run, Zuni Icosahedron announced that “Left Unsaid” will go on an overseas tour and will be performed in Guangzhou and Kuala Lumpur. The play’s Kuala Lumpur performance will be held at Pentas 1, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) on 9th and 10th May 2025 (Friday and Saturday).
There will be three performances in total for the two dates. Tickets for the stage play are priced from RM68 to RM228 and are now available on CloudJoi. Since this is only one of two overseas performances for “Left Unsaid”, this is a rare opportunity for Malaysian audiences to experience this sensational Hong Kong stage play in person.
