It’s been several weeks since Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu/Big S (徐熙媛/大S) left us, but the issues surrounding her death continue to make headlines. Recently, her ex-boyfriend Vic Chou (周渝民) opened up about the star’s death, while her ex-husband Wang Xiao Fei (汪小菲) made his return to Taiwan.
Vic Chou, who starred alongside Barbie in “Meteor Garden (流星花園)”, recently attended his first public event since the actress’ untimely death. At the event, he shared his thoughts regarding Barbie’s passing. The 43-year-old said, “I (of course) have feelings. It’s easy for me to mourn someone, but it’s very painful for me to talk too much about my feelings in front of the media.”

Vic and Barbie reportedly dated from 2005 to 2008. Given his history with the actress, the F4 member had a good relationship with her family and her sister, Dee Hsu (徐熙娣). However, when asked whether he had sent his condolences to the Hsu family, Vic admitted that they hadn’t been in touch for quite some time. Nevertheless, he asked the public to show compassion to Barbie’s family and loved ones.
Meanwhile, Barbie’s other ex was also recently seen in public. Wang Xiao Fei, who sparked backlash for his actions after the star’s death, recently arrived in Taiwan. It’s believed that the businessman returned to his ex-wife’s home country to settle the inheritance case and the custody of his two children. However, there are also rumours that Wang Xiao Fei is preparing to meet up with his former mother-in-law, Huang Chun Mei (黃春梅).

Barbie’s mother previously sparked interest after claiming she was preparing to “go to war” with Wang Xiao Fei and his mother Zhang Lan (张兰). The two families have been at odds for years due to Barbie and Wang Xiao Fei’s divorce and legal drama. News outlets also reported that the businessman still owes his ex-wife over 250 million yuan (approximately RM152.2 million) in unpaid debt and alimony.
Barbie passed away at age 48 on 2nd February 2025 (Sunday) due to influenza complications. Unfortunately, it appears that the end to all these dramas surrounding the star and her death is still far away. Nevertheless, we wish all the best to her family and may they find strength during this difficult time.
