The festivities began at the Main Lobby Porte Cochère with a breathtaking 24-drum presentation, setting the stage for an energetic and auspicious celebration.
This was followed by a spectacular lion dance performance by Persatuan Tarian Naga Dan Singa Cailifo Nansheng, featuring Northern lions captivating guests with their vibrant and acrobatic display. The performance mesmerised an audience of over 100 guests, who had gathered to witness the thrilling spectacle.
Following the captivating performance, 60 distinguished guests, with Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur’s management team, gathered at the Main Lobby for the much-anticipated Yee Sang tossing ceremony.
At the heart of this tradition was an impressive 48-foot-long Yee Sang, intricately designed in the shape of a snake to honour the Year of the Snake in 2025. The 48-foot masterpiece, masterfully crafted by Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur’s talented culinary team, was a true symbol of abundance and good fortune.
The traditional “Lou Hei” ritual saw attendees enthusiastically tossing the symbolic salad high into the air, each gesture filled with wishes for prosperity and success in the year ahead.
Laughter and cheer filled the air, creating a lively atmosphere that truly embodied the spirit of togetherness and joy.
During the event, Mr Daniel Kaeflein, General Manager, delivered a speech expressing appreciation for the continued support of guests and partners while highlighting the significance of the occasion.
