Today (Monday, 3rd February) is an exciting day in the music industry, as it marks the 67th Annual Grammy Awards! There are many strong nominees this year across a range of categories, and fans have been eagerly waiting to find out who will walk away with the most awards.
Apart from the craziest fashion and performances, one of the highlights of this highly-anticipated award show was seeing the nominees nabbed their first Grammy. In no particular order, here are 6 artists who have officially earned the title of Grammy winners:
Chappell Roan

- Awards won: 1
- Categories: Best New Artist
- Fun fact: This year, Chappell Roan has been nominated for a total of five Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year
- Fun fact #2: The singer was also nominated for and won the Best New Artist category at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards

Sabrina Carpenter

- Categories: Best Pop Vocal Album (Short n’ Sweet), Best Pop Solo Performance (Espresso)
- Fun fact: Sabrina Carpenter was nominated in four other categories, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year
- Fun fact #2: The singer has been in the music industry since 2015, but her sixth studio album “Short n’ Sweet” finally earned her Grammy recognition

Doechii

- Fun fact: Doechii made history by becoming the third female artist to win a Grammy in the Best Rap Album category, following Cardi B and Lauryn Hill
- Fun fact#2: Doechii previously won a Billboard Women in Music Award in the Rising Star category

- Fun fact: Charli XCX was first nominated for 2 Grammy awards back in 2015 for her “Fancy” collab with Iggy Azalea
- Acceptance speech: “We’ve won 3 Grammys! This is for all of you who’ve been with me through years and years of this never really being a thing for us. I hope I made you proud this year. I love you all so much.”
NxWorries

- Categories: Best Progressive R&B Album
- Fun fact: This is the first time the duo has been nominated for a music award (ever), and they are now certified Grammy Award winners

Rapsody

- Categories: Best Melodic Rap Performance (3:AM feat. Erykah Badu)
- Fun fact: This is the first time Rapsody has been nominated for a Grammy Award. This latest win also marks Erykah Badu’s first Grammy in two decades
- Fun fact #2: This Grammy Award also marks producer JeMarcus Bridges’ first nomination and win. He accepted the award on behalf of the two performing artists
