Whenever an international celebrity visits Malaysia, we often see them visit the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. However, when Chinese actress Tang Wei (湯唯) visited Malaysia, she decided to venture into the rainforests of Sawarak.
A few days ago, the 45-year-old updated her Instagram account with an uncaptioned photo of a tree. However, the tagged location revealed that Tang Wei was at the Kalimantan Look Out Point at Kuching, Sarawak. The actress would later share another uncaptioned photo, but the location was marked “Sarawak, Kuching, Malaysia”. This detail excited many local fans, who welcomed the star to the country.

It’s unknown whether Tang Wei is still in the country. However, in a reply to a comment, the actress revealed that she’s visiting Indonesia and Malaysia for a holiday with her daughter, Summer. The mother-daughter duo appeared to have gone hiking through the rainforest in the Malaysian state. The “Lust, Caution” star also shared another post, expressing awe at the abundant flora and fauna in Sarawak.
In her third post, the actress praised Borneo, writing, “I used to say that people are similar to animals, but this time in Borneo, especially in front of this tree, I feel like I instantly became a citizen of this country.” Tang Wei also said she learned a lot about the rainforest during her trip and gained a sense of amazement for nature. She also said she felt very at peace when hiking through the rainforest, surrounded by nature.

Many of Tang Wei’s fans said her words about the Sarawakian rainforest and nature were very moving. Some Sarawakian fans also thanked that actress for her kind words about their home state, wishing her a safe and fulfilling trip. Others suggested other local landmarks to visit while she’s still in Sarawak, like the Gunung Mulu National Park and the Gunung Gading National Park.
It seems Tang Wei enjoyed her visit to Sarawak and the rainforest. We hope she made a lot of happy memories here and that it gives her more than enough reason to return to Malaysia in the future.
