The new year welcomes a new celebrity couple! After much speculation, actor Hugh Jackman is going public with actress Sutton Foster, whom he co-starred in the 2022 Broadway revival of “The Music Man”.
The new romance was reported by People magazine after the couple was spotted enjoying a low-key dinner in California earlier this week. As shown in photos, Hugh and Sutton walked the streets of Santa Monica hand-in-hand. Just a few days before the outing, Hugh also attended one of the final performances of Sutton’s musical in L.A. Unfortunately, the two stars’ reps didn’t comment on the dating rumours, but the photos strongly suggest the two are officially an item!
The couple’s new relationship comes after both actors split from their respective long-term marriages. In September 2023, Hugh and Australian actress Deborra-Lee Furness announced their split after almost 30 years of marriage. The couple said the split was amicable as they decided to separate to pursue their individual growth. Meanwhile, Sutton filed for divorce from screenwriter husband Ted Griffin in October 2024, after 10 years of marriage.
Hugh and Sutton’s relationship began when they co-starred in the 2022 Broadway revival of “The Music Man” from December 2021 to January 2023. The two are noted to have great chemistry during the show’s run and often spoke highly of one another during interviews. Hugh even gushed about long-time admiration for the two-time Tony winner, saying he’s watched all her works.
While it’s unknown when the romance officially began, sources say that the two have been together for a while. Regardless, Hugh and Sutton looked happily in love in the photos, and we can’t wait to see more of the two soon!
