Food Review: An Enjoyable Indian Cuisine Experience At Passage Thru India

Passage Thru India, nestled in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur, doesn’t only serve authentic Indian cuisine but also showcases the rich cultural heritage of India, from their food to the deco around the eatery. Besides that, dining at Passage Thru India will also provide you the privilege of indulging at one of KL’s Michelin-approved restaurants.

We’ve all definitely felt like most of the Indian restaurants we visit don’t give off the authentic Indian flavour in their food, but this particular restaurant will definitely leave you wanting for more! Their menu offers a good variety of Indian favourites, where the flavour and aroma put you right at home.

Starting off with their Kashmiri lollipops (RM10) as the entrée, it was a light but satisfying starter. The boxer chicken wings are marinated and cooked in a tangy sauce, which gives off a crispy outer layer that blends perfectly with the soft and juicy interior of the chicken.

Next, we dived into the recommended dishes and hot favourites at Passage Thru India. This include the Plain Briyani (RM13), Murgh Tikka Butter Masala (RM21), Rogan Josh (RM30), and the Mixed Kebab Platter (RM50). Despite the food dishes being rich and filling, it was all balanced well with their respective spiciness, especially when it was paired with the flavourful rice.

Our main dishes were also accompanied by Palak Paneer (RM17), Garlic Naan (RM6.50), and Butter Naan (RM6.50). Even being separate dishes on their own, they compliment each other well, especially when the Naans were dipped into the Palak Panner. Then, we washed it all down by ordering their famous Mango Lassi (RM7) and the Masala Chai (6.00). The lassi complimented the food well, as it was a refreshing, rich drink to end the spice-filled meal. Whereas the Masala Chai perfectly balanced the slight spiciness of the masala with the creamy, sweet chai.

So, if you’re ever looking for authentic Indian cuisine that would really fill you up for the whole day, do take this restaurant into consideration and give it a try. Passage Thru India would definitely make you want to boast about the amazing food to your friends and family.
