There’s no doubt that Malaysians are huge foodies, with many willingly spending huge sums of money at food festivals with popular vendors. The profit these merchants gain depends on the event’s attendance, and some festivals don’t do as well as others. However, we’re sure this upcoming food festival will pique your interest because it isn’t your typical culinary fest.
From 31st December 2024 (Tuesday) until 5th January 2025 (Sunday), Pasar Eatai, a Chinese Muslim food and culture festival, will take place at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in PJ for the second time ever! Here, you can expect to see authentic halal Chinese cuisine prepared by the region’s locals, so you know you’re getting the real thing.

EatAi is an Instagram video blogger that specialises in the food and way of life of Chinese Muslims, primarily from rural regions of China. At this festival, you may now experience a little bit of their lifestyle and taste dishes from different regions like Xinjiang, Yunnan, Qinghai, and more. Not only that, there will also be traditional art throughout the carnival so you can fully immerse yourself in the vibes!
Furthermore, this festival is about more than just cuisine and culture. By providing those in need with a free booth where they can sell handmade goods, Pasar Eatai seeks to assist individuals who are currently struggling financially. So, at this fantastic culinary event, you can have fun while also contributing to charity. Double yay from us!

The food festival will be held on the lower ground level of 1 Utama, at E Street of Old Wing. Don’t worry, you won’t have to walk around while eating because they provide a seating area with ample space. We’re so excited for this event! Will you be going?
