Malaysian actress Rozita Che Wan has been facing public scrutiny following reports that she failed to settle a debt to Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). While she hasn’t directly addressed the matter, netizens continue pointing out evidence that the star is faking her wealth.
To recap, the actress’ Kota Damansara home was recently raided by MARA, allegedly due to her failure to settle a debt of almost RM1 million. The raid resulted in a seizure of personal belongings valued at nearly RM100,000. According to MARA’s legal representative, the confiscated items, mostly household goods and personal belongings, are expected to be auctioned off within the next few weeks.
Rozita, known more familiarly as Che Ta, has kept mum about the issue, but has asked the public to refrain from speculating. Despite that, the news has sparked discussion about whether the star’s wealth was just a front. Recently, a TikTok user dissected an old video of the star in which she holds a stack of cash. In the video, the user zooms in on the stack to reveal that the centre is white, indicating that the centre portion isn’t actual cash.
Many netizens have reacted to the video, joking that the actress might have forgotten to print more fake money. Some also mocked Che Ta for faking her cash stack for a video to appear richer. However, a quick search through her TikTok account shows another video where the actress holds another large wad of cash. In this video, the actress briefly shuffles through the money to prove that the stack is comprised entirely of cash notes.
Keep in mind that a few videos will not reflect the truth, and we may never know the whole story of Che Ta’s financial situation. Meanwhile, the actress recently did a live broadcast on TikTok to sell clothing, mostly her preloved garments. However, it’s worth noting that she’s known to resell her items to reduce her collection. During the live stream, many netizens supported the actress, wishing her the best as she navigates through this issue.
