Have you ever needed to get away from the city and enjoy the nature surrounding you for a short while? We’ve all felt that way but could never find the perfect spot to visit.

So, we’ve curated a list of nature attractions across Malaysia to help you out! Don’t feel constrained by our short list; these are only a few of our best recommendations. From Perlis all the way to Sabah, here are 5 nature spots for you to visit across Malaysia:

1. Humble Hobbit Home, Kundasang, Sabah

Are you a fan of “The Lord of the Rings“? If you are, then you must be familiar with Hobbit homes that appear throughout the show. You can now visit it in real life and stay the night at Humble Hobbit Home located in Kundasang, Sabah! Situated at the foot of Mount Kinabalu, feel the breeze and let yourself roam around the greenery, with amazing scenery everywhere you look! Book a room here.

2. Bali Statues, Rawang, Selangor

Want to go to Bali but can never find the perfect time? You’re in luck because Setia Eco Templer has brought Bali to Malaysia! At Setia Eco Templer, you can experience Bali’s iconic Gates of Heaven statue without leaving Malaysia. Situated in surrounding forests, it truly is a serene scene for you and your loved ones to enjoy together. Quick tip – we recommend going in the evening so the heat won’t be too harsh.

3. Matang Mangrove Forest Reserve, Kuala Sepetang, Perak

Malaysia has over 100 mangrove forests nationwide, but did you know that the largest one is in Perak? Only about 3 hours away from KL, you can experience the unique forest with just a RM5 entrance fee. You can also book a boat ride along the mangrove and discover many different species that are true inhabitants of the forest. If you’re lucky enough, then you might come across a Chinese White Dolphin swimming alongside your boat!

4. Taman Negara National Park, Pahang

Of course, we can’t leave out our national park on this list! Walk around and explore the tropical life of Taman Negara, located in Pahang. With 4 main departure points; Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Tahan, Jerantut, and Sungai Relau, you can embark on your adventure from whichever entrance is closest to you. Not to mention, the entrance fee only costs RM1, which is more than affordable! There are also tons of different packages provided by the National Park team, so you can choose whichever one is the most suitable for you. Check it out here!

5. Kelam Cave, Kaki Bukit, Perlis

Finally, we travel all the way up north to Perlis and land at Kelam Cave! Inside the cave, there’s a 370-metre-long naturally formed tunnel and even a suspended bridge, which is a popular tourist attraction. Once famous for its ore mines and limestone, Kelam Cave is now a stretch where visitors and locals alike can travel to Wang Kelian. Don’t worry, the name Kelam was only used because it used to be dark and eerie inside the cave but now it’s fully illuminated. There’s also an underground river in the cave, which flows out to the Perlis River.

That’s our list! Did we miss any of your favourite spots?
