Chinese superstar Joker Xue (薛之谦) recently held his encore concert at Bukit Jalil National Stadium to commemorate the end of his highly successful world tour. While the rest of the concert went smoothly, unfortunately, the concert was plagued by a fight between fans.
According to a concertgoer, the fight happened as Joker was preparing to interact with his fans in the crowd. It’s believed that the excitement of meeting the singer up close caused some fans to push their seatmates. Understandably, the pushing angered some fans, sparking a full-on argument in the audience. As shown in a video uploaded to XiaoHongShu, three women were punching and slapping each other as the crowd around them looked on.
The altercation sparked a debate online, with many netizens sharing their opinions. As there were claims that the fan who started the fight was a foreigner, many locals lamented how some foreigners behave at concerts. The alleged foreign fan later posted a comment to defend herself, saying she fought in self-defence because she felt she was ganged up on by a group of local female fans pushing her.
However, another fan in the same section shared a few videos to provide more context. According to the fan, a group of local female fans shoved the foreign fan at one point, but she yelled at them out of anger. However, the physical altercation didn’t begin until later when the foreign fan started pushing and provoking the local fans, leading to the now-viral fight.

News reports say concert staff stepped in to dissolve the fight, and the fans had to receive medical treatment. Following a second perspective of the fight, many netizens criticised the foreign fan for being violent and lying about her involvement. Meanwhile, others argue that concertgoers should be more understanding and respectful of their fellow fans instead of starting fights over petty issues.
