Many Hong Kong celebrities have visited Malaysia in the past year for work and fun. Recently, Hong Kong actress Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤) shared a video of her trip to a night market in Kuala Lumpur.
Yoyo shared the video on her social media accounts, revealing that she visited the Alor Street (Jalan Alor) night market in Bukit Bintang to check out the many food stalls. During her visit, the 43-year-old bumped into fellow actor Michael Miu (苗僑偉) and his wife, Jamie Chik (戚美珍). While there’s no mention of when the video was from, it’s believed that Yoyo filmed it a few months back when she and Michael were in KL for their respective work.
In her video, Yoyo said she enjoys visiting local markets because there are many new things to discover. She then proceeds to show off the foods she tried at Alor Street, which include a durian-filled pancake and a lime and plum drink. At one point, the television personality came across a stall selling Fuzhou fishballs, a speciality of her hometown, Fuzhou. In her captions, Yoyo praised the variety of night markets in Malaysia, saying the food options were endless.
Many Malaysian fans have since commented on the video, welcoming Yoyo to the country and wishing her a great trip. Some locals also recommended other night markets that the actress could visit. Others commented on her beauty and youthful looks, praising her for maintaining herself well. Some also commented on Michael and his wife, sharing praise for the couple.
While we’re not sure when Yoyo will return to Malaysia again, we hope she’ll visit more night markets when she’s in town. Perhaps she’ll share yet another vlog for her many curious fans.
