With the increasing number of high-rise buildings and the daily decline of greenery, animals are increasingly forced out of their natural habitats to explore unfamiliar areas, including villages and cities. This has also caused wild animal sightings to increase everywhere, and although there have been no reports of these animals attacking locals, their presence still poses a potential threat.
Recently, a video has been circulating the net, showing tigers being spotted around in villages in Kluang, Johor. These tiger sightings have not only raised some concerns online but to locals in the area as well.

According to a video posted on Facebook, locals reported finding tiger paw prints along the riverside areas of Sungai Tuba. A villager who was on his way to his boat unexpectedly witnessed a tiger by the river. Another video shared on the same page showed a tiger walking calmly among the trees in the Loji Nitar area. Locals and visitors are advised to remain aware of their surroundings, as these spots are popular fishing areas.
The two videos sparked significant online discussion, generating mixed reactions among Malaysian netizens. Many expressed concerns about safety for both nearby villagers and fishermen in the area, suggesting that reports should be made before anyone becomes a victim of the tiger.

Contrary to the concerning comments, some netizens also joked about the situation, claiming that someone should just adopt the tiger and bring it home, as it seemed friendly. They also claimed the tiger, nicknamed “Oyen,” looked adorable, joking that the tiger icon of Maybank is out searching for those who loaned from it, quipping that debtors should pay it back.
