Earlier this June, renowned DJ Alan Walker shocked Malaysian fans when he cancelled his Walkerworld concert just a day before the show. However, he promised to return to KL – and the man has kept his word! The internationally renowned DJ and producer has announced that he will perform at KL Base, Sungei Besi, on 8th November 2024 (Friday).
The “Walkerworld Asia Tour Pt. II in Kuala Lumpur” concert will be the only show in Southeast Asia for the upcoming tour and is Alan’s way of fulfilling his promise of performing in Malaysia. For those in the dark, the Norwegian producer was slated to perform at Sunway Lagoon on 22nd June 2024 (Saturday) but had to cancel a day before the show.
Along with the new concert announcement, Alan’s team also released a statement regarding the previously cancelled show. In the statement, his team revealed they had to cancel the show after learning several critical issues and safety concerns with the stage setup. At the same time, the statement revealed payment issues with the local vendors from the previous show. Alan said he made the difficult decision to cancel the show to ensure the safety of his fans and uphold the standards of professionalism in the industry.
As for his new show, the 27-year-old producer said he is personally funding the concert as a sign of commitment to his fans. It will also ensure a smooth event for everyone, including the vendors. Tickets for his new concert are now available through All-Access. Noticing that some fans haven’t received refunds for the previous concert, Alan also announced his team will complement the previous ticket holders with the new show.
