Imagine fragrances with no scent, but are inspired by visual elements of nature. Luxury perfume house Diptyque recently celebrated the launch of its new Les Essences de Diptyque collection, created by renowned perfumers Fabrice Pellegrin, Alexandra Carlin, Nathalie Cetto, and Olivier Pescheux.
The five unique eaux de parfum are inspired by elements of nature that captivate the imagination—coral, mother of pearl, bark, water lily, and the desert rose. “The idea was really to give a fantastic playground to the perfumers, letting their imagination wonder about what would these ingredients, these natural wonders, would smell like,” says Diptyque CEO Laurence Semichon. “What makes this collection different is that we put [in] more concentration, so the scent and the trail are a little bit stronger.”
