Many K-pop fans in Malaysia know that TWICE (트와이스) member Nayeon (나연) is the brand ambassador for Malaysian-based luxury brand BONIA. Recently, the brand teased some exciting news for its 50th anniversary – which left fans wondering: is the K-pop star coming to Malaysia?
Over the past weekend, BONIA has posted several teasers on its social media, hinting that its brand ambassador might visit Malaysia soon. One of the posts is a video of balloons spelling out “NAYEON” and “SEPT”, along with the caption, ”Going #ONCE, going #TWICE… Can you guess what’s coming?”. Based on the post, many fans concluded that Nayeon will appear in Malaysia in September. The brand continued to share several more posts, building up more excitement amongst local ONCEs.
Unfortunately, as of writing, BONIA has yet to confirm Nayeon’s appearance in Malaysia, let alone any dates. However, their most recent post teased a special video message from the 29-year-old, along with the caption, “Hold on tight and stay tuned for more exciting news!”. Through its Instagram Stories, the brand also asked fans, “How excited are you for Nayeon to visit Malaysia?”. Based on all these hints, it’s almost certain that the “ABCD” singer will be in our country soon.
Regardless, Malaysian fans are already excited, with many urging BONIA to release all the details immediately. Some even said they’re prepared to purchase from the brand to secure a chance to meet the star up close. If Nayeon’s appearance is confirmed, it will make her the second TWICE member to visit Malaysia this year. In June, Mina (미나) drew a massive crowd at the Mid Valley Megamall when she visited the SK-II store as the skincare brand’s ambassador.

It’s official, folks! After much teasing, BONIA confirms that their brand ambassador, Nayeon, will be in Malaysia next month! The fashion brand shared the exciting news, revealing all the details of their 50th anniversary pop-up event at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which includes an appearance from the TWICE vocalist.
According to the post, Nayeon will be at the event on 21st September 2024 (Saturday), but the exact time has yet to be confirmed. The pop-up will open from 22nd to 29th September 2024, from 10am to 10pm. Adding more to the excitement is that Nayeon’s appearance will take place a day before her 29th birthday – so if you want to celebrate her big day in advance, here are the details of the event:
