We all know that American rapper Cardi B isn’t shy about speaking her mind – and that’s what she did in this recent tweet! The 32-year-old had a few words for a fan who accused her of bleaching her skin while being pregnant.
The rapper, who is currently expecting her third child despite having recently filed for divorce from rapper Offset, recently posted a photo of her with her friend, Star Brim. In the picture, Cardi wore a short-sleeved crop top, which showed off a lot of skin. However, her skin, particularly at the stomach and arm region, appears lighter than her usually darker skin colour, which led to someone questioning, “Has Cardi been bleaching her skin?”.

Unfortunately for that person, Cardi wouldn’t let the tweet slide. Instead, she slammed them for the accusation, arguing, “Bleaching while pregnant? Why must y’all be so dumb? Actually, NO! I’m pregnant, I’m slightly anaemic, this baby sucking all the energy off my body to the point I’m pale, eyes sunken, veins green ASF, can’t tan under the sun cause I get hot super fast and dizzy. PLEASE STOP THINKING WITH YOUR A**HOLE!”
The “WAP” rapper’s reply had fans and netizens backing her up, saying she was right to call out the Twitter user for their accusation. Many said the fan doesn’t seem to understand the complexity of pregnancy and is instead throwing out claims towards the soon-to-be mother-of-three because of their lack of knowledge. On the other hand, some urged Cardi not to stress herself out with trolls and focus on herself and her baby.
Previously, Cardi revealed that she almost suffered a miscarriage after falling down the stairs. She said she couldn’t feel her lower body after the incident and reportedly tore a ligament in her pelvis. The artist was in a lot of pain during that time and couldn’t move for two days but, thankfully, was able to recover after undergoing physical therapy.

It seems Cardi hasn’t had the smoothest pregnancy so far. Nevertheless, the rapper remains positive throughout this journey, and we wish the best of health to both mother and child.
