K-pop fans are always speculating on who their favourite idols might be dating. Having said that, the “evidences” from their claims are usually a little too far-fetched. Regardless, that has never stopped them from constantly being on the lookout for possible romance in the industry.
This latest speculation surrounding a DAY6 (데이식스) member, however, might actually be plausible due to a certain habit of his. Is the idol secretly dating anyone? Let’s find out why fans think so:
Earlier this week, DAY6’s Park Sungjin (박성진) posted the latest episode of his “Park SungJJIN” YouTube show. The guitarist was visiting a BMW Driving Center to test out one of the vehicles at the venue’s circuit. While driving, fans noticed a peculiar habit of his whenever he’s behind the wheel. Many pointed out how the musician always rests his right hand on the passenger seat while using his left to drive the car.
This is evident in his previous videos whenever the singer is shown driving. Fans speculated that Sungjin may have a secret girlfriend as some claimed that their boyfriends have the same habit of resting their hands on their girlfriends’ thighs or holding hands while driving. “Muscle memory,” netizens called it. Normally, these kinds of speculations would spark outrage among fans but based on the reactions, most seemed to accept the possibility that the idol may not be single.
While the rumours might be somewhat plausible, there’s no way to verify it until Sungjin or DAY6’s agency JYP Entertainment officially confirms the possible relationship. In other news, after announcing their Asia tour, Malaysian fans have been wondering if there will be an opening act for DAY6’s concert at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur especially after local band Insomniacks’ vocalist Iqie shared his excitement about wanting to see the Korean band live.
Some fully support the idea of Insomniacks opening for DAY6 while others are against it. A few claim that there has never been an opening act for DAY6’s concerts and there shouldn’t be. Besides the supporting act issue, many have been demanding the concert organisers to change the venue to Axiata Arena to accommodate more fans. Since ticket sales are not out yet, this change is still possible.
