At this point, most Stray Kids (스트레이 키즈) fans are aware that Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds is a huge fan of the group and vice versa. The “Deadpool” star and the idol group have interacted on social media and through online calls on multiple occasions but they have yet to actually meet each other in person. Fans have been longing for the day the stars align where they get to be physically together.
Currently, both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are on a press tour in South Korea to promote their upcoming movie “Deadpool & Wolverine”. During a recent press conference, the 47-year-old once again reminded everyone that he’s a STAY by saying, “Stray Kids! I love Stray Kids!”.
Since the Marvel stars are currently in South Korea, rumours began spreading that the duo and Stray Kids members Bang Chan (방찬), Felix (이용복) and Han (한 ) had met and hung out somewhere to film a secret collaboration. However, there is little evidence that suggests the rumours are true.
One of the only pieces of “evidence” of the celebs’ collaboration is that both Hugh and Ryan were recently interviewed by GOT7 member BamBam (뱀뱀), who used to be under JYP Entertainment, the same agency as Stray Kids. However, since the Thai singer is no longer under the company, there’s no guarantee that JYP actually reached out to the famous actors for a collab. While nothing has been confirmed so far, it didn’t stop STAYs from being excited about the global superstars meeting each other.
Many took to Twitter to express their enthusiasm, manifesting that the rumours of Stray Kids and Ryan Reynolds working on a project are true. Others said that they are hoping that the “God’s Menu” artists would make a surprise cameo in the “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie.
Meanwhile, during the red carpet premiere of the aforementioned movie in South Korea last night (Thursday, 4th July), a curious fan asked Ryan who his bias is in Stray Kids. While signing autographs, the actor answered, “I can’t answer that,” followed by “I have 8 of them,” possibly referring to the photocards of the members.
