Actor Aliff Aziz and actress Ruhainies may have addressed their alleged Khalwat scandal but they are not out of the woods yet. The two celebs have been in hot waters ever since this whole thing started last year and netizens aren’t ready to forgive them just yet. It seems that everything they do would be met with harsh criticism, like this recent incident.
Both Aliff and Ruhainies appeared in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Syariah Court earlier today (Wednesday, 3rd July) for a hearing regarding their alleged Khalwat case. Upon arriving, the two celebs were approached by the media asking for updates on the case.

In a video posted by Hiburan Glam on their social pages, both stars happily asked everyone to pray for the best outcome for them in this court case. Although the entertainers meant no harm and possibly wanted to appear calm while being bombarded with questions, netizens weren’t so pleased about how happy they appeared in the video.
Many called them, particularly the actress, out for being shameless since the allegations made against them are serious. Others accused Ruhainies of being proud of being an alleged homewrecker. Some suggested that the two should just go ahead and marry each other since they were allegedly involved in an infidelity scandal.

As for the court session itself, both Aliff and Ruhainies pleaded not guilty to the Khalwat charges and requested a trial. The two celebs are charged under Section 27(a) of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) Act 1997 and Section 27(b) of the same act, which carries a maximum fine of RM3,000 or jail time of no more than two years, or both if convicted.
