Last week was certainly a very productive week for TREASURE (트레저) fans. Not only did they have the time of their lives at the concert held at Axiata Arena, but some lucky fans managed to catch a glimpse of some of the boys while they were walking around Kuala Lumpur.
The members were spotted in various locations in the city throughout the day and two of those members were Asahi (아사히/浜田朝光) and Jaehyuk (윤재혁). Photos of the two appearing exhausted at KLCC park circulated on social media, making fans wonder what they’ve been up to. It looks like we finally got an answer to that question.
Yesterday (Monday, 24th June), TREASURE posted a video on their official TikTok channel. The video showed Asahi and Jaehyuk doing the “You Will Be My Girl” TikTok challenge. The trend is popular among couples where one would grab their partner by the hand and pull them off-screen before the scene transitions to the next location. The action is then repeated. In other versions, one would lift and carry their partner.
That was the version that the two idols went with. Jaehyuk was seen patting Asahi on the head before lifting him up and carrying him off-screen. The entire video showcased different areas of KLCC Park and ended with the singers at the iconic water fountain area. As expected, the TikTok post went viral among Malaysian fans.
Many were excited to see Malaysia being represented in TREASURE’s TikTok video while others found the members doing the challenge adorable. Some were satisfied to finally receive an answer as to why Asahi and Jaehyuk appeared tired at KLCC Park last week. A few were hoping that TREASURE would do this at every shopping centre they visited in KL.
We personally would love to see the other members doing this cute challenge at the other malls they were spotted at. Who knows, maybe they’ll update more TikTok videos of their adventures here in Malaysia soon. Here’s to hoping.
