Ouch! Singer Bebe Rexha didn’t hold back when she showed where she stood with rapper G-Eazy. In an Instagram Story posted on 13th June (Thursday), the singer calling G-Eazy an “ungrateful loser” in response to him wanting to collaborate with her to shoot some content for social media.
According to the now-deleted post, Bebe was asked by a staff member whether she would be keen on filming some content with the 35-year-old rapper. It seems like the answer was a hard no since Bebe then called G-Eazy a “stuck up ungrateful loser”, claiming that the “Tumblr Girls” rapper has her number and could have asked her himself. Of course, if that wasn’t enough to show how she felt, Bebe wrote at the end of her bash, “btw, the answer is no.”
In her short rant, Bebe also noted that the “Him & I” rapper is lucky people are starting to like him again or she would have gone all out on all the horrible things he did to her after they worked together on their collaboration track, “Me, Myself & I”. Unfortunately, the IG story was later removed by the singer’s team. Bebe took to Twitter to explain that her team felt the post was too toxic and negative. However, she emphasised that despite the post being taken down, she still firmly stands by her words.
The reasons behind Bebe and G-Eazy’s falling out are not entirely clear, despite the strong relationship and chemistry they previously showcased in numerous interviews. Both artists have even claimed they blend well together musically. However, it was speculated that their rift began around the time G-Eazy’s performed “Me, Myself & I” with pop icon Britney Spears, instead of with Bebe, at the 2016 MTV VMA Awards.
During her 2018 interview with Andy Cohen in “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen”, the singer expressed that she is still very much close to G-Eazy but shocked that he did not inform her about the performance. She said, “To be honest, I found it out last minute because they were scared I wasn’t going to clear it, which was bull. But I was a little shocked by him, because I thought that he would let me know and I was upset by it, but then I got to meet Britney and take pictures with her so that made everything way better and I loved it.”
It’s safe to say we won’t be expecting a collaboration from them anytime soon, seeing as how the pop singer expressed her feelings towards the rapper. On the other hand, G-Eazy has not responded to the issue, likely because he’s currently occupied with promoting his latest music video, upcoming album and world tour.
