Singer Avril Lavigne Slammed For Performing “Same 15-Song Setlist” In New Tour

When you’re at a concert by your favourite singer or band, you’d expect to hear them sing all their greatest hits. However, Avril Lavigne fans want more than just her most popular songs. In fact, they just want more.

The Canadian singer-songwriter recently kicked off her Greatest Hits Tour in Vancouver, playing to a sold-out crowd. While some were ecstatic to see the pop-punk icon back on stage, many of her fans have some criticism about the setlist. According to music publication Alternative Press, the singer performed 13 songs plus two encore tracks, totalling 15 songs. For comparison, Ed Sheeran had over 20 songs in his setlist for his Mathematics Tour, and Taylor Swift performed over 40 songs on an average Eras Tour stop.

In Avril’s case, it seems that a 15-song setlist is a norm for the singer, as all of her previous tours since “The Avril Lavigne Tour” only contain a maximum of 15 songs on their setlists. However, the length is just half the issue because fans are also disappointed about the lack of variety.

According to comments, Avril has been performing a similar setlist for years, which includes her most popular songs and a handful of B-side tracks. When comparing the setlist from this tour with the one from her previous “Love Sux Tour”, only four songs were different. Many fans have taken to social media, commenting on Avril’s posts to show their disappointment over the lacklustre setlist.

Some said they’re tired of listening to the same tracks and want more variety. They urged the star to include more songs for her upcoming concert dates, saying that she has a lot of underrated tracks in her discography that would make perfect additions. It is worth noting that these comments came from long-time fans who genuinely want to see the star present a better show.

Hopefully, Avril will listen to her fans and consider their comments – but what are your thoughts on this?
