If you’re a K-pop fan, you may already be familiar with Burning Sun (버닝썬), the now-defunct club belonging to disgraced K-pop singer Seungri (승리). After the BBC published their documentary, many have shared their opinion on the controversial club – including those who had the opportunity to visit.

Recently, Hong Kong influencer Ling Cheng (金鈴) took to social media to share her experience visiting the club. The public figure said she went to Burning Sun in 2018 because a friend took her there. Ling revealed Seungri was also at the club DJ-ing, but it didn’t seem she had met him face-to-face. Ling also said the club was crowded, sharing images from the night to prove her point.

Unfortunately, the crowd made it easy for some to commit terrible acts. Ling revealed many people were using drugs in the club, and some used specific items to help with the aftereffects. She said the drug users would wear sunglasses to cover their eyes and suck on pacifiers to prevent them from biting their tongue. Ling claimed that authorities don’t care about what happened in the club because they have received bribery.

Shockingly, Ling revealed she had become a victim of drugging during her visit to the club. She said she only drank one glass of champagne but suddenly felt very inebriated, leading her to believe the drink was tampered with. However, Ling said she was spared from harm because she lost her wallet, which prompted her and her friend to leave the club to lodge a report. She admitted that she was relieved that the only thing that happened to her at Burning Sun was that she lost her belongings.

On a related note, there were previous reports that Seungri was looking to relocate to Hong Kong using a specific visa and had planned to open another club in the country. The Hong Kong government then issued a statement denying the rumours. They said the immigration department has never received a visa application from the former BIGBANG (빅뱅) member, adding that the government will continue to ensure strict visa approvals.
