The Dragon Boat Festival, known as (端午節) in Mandarin, is an exhilarating celebration steeped in ancient tradition and vibrant festivities. Originating over 2,000 years ago, this festival honours the poet and patriot Qu Yuan, whose legacy is commemorated through the thrilling spectacle of dragon boat races and the savouring of zongzi, delicious rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves.

This year, as communities come together to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, an array of exquisite dining experiences awaits, curated from the renowned kitchens of Shangri-La KL to the luxurious Concorde Hotel. These culinary offerings promise to enhance the festive spirit with flavours as rich and diverse as the festival’s history itself. As paddlers prepare to slice through the water in their intricately decorated boats, food enthusiasts can embark on their own journey through a curated selection of the finest restaurants.
