While some public figures are just speaking out about the ongoing genocide in Palestine after a Blockout list went viral, others have always been vocal about the war crimes committed by Israel and avoided collaborating with any brands listed in the BDS boycott list. One of those celebs was content creator Ceddy Ang, famously known as CeddyOrNot.
Ever since the attack on Gaza intensified last October, the influencer has consistently posted and shared updates about the issue on his social media pages. He even participated in the Palestine rally at Dataran Merdeka last year. To further demonstrate his stance, the entrepreneur decided to educate his followers about the current situation in Rafah in the wee hours of the morning.

Earlier today (Wednesday, 15th May), Ceddy posted a video of himself in his pyjamas at 4 in the morning to explain a little more about the hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah that’s been trending since last week. “No, I’m not doing this because of the Blockout list or that I’m afraid. Real ones will know that I’m Pro-Palestine and I’ve been talking about [the genocide] since 2021,” he clarified.
Illustrating the Gaza Strip on a board, the Owlet founder described the situation that Palestinians had to endure; evacuating from one location to another despite being told by the Israeli military that their next destination would not be bombed. “Rafah is supposed to be their safe zone. They were promised that they’d be safe but you already know what happened. Food is limited, hospitals are overwhelmed and resources are not enough for everyone. Which is why everyone is calling for a [permanent] ceasefire. If the attack doesn’t stop, they’re gone,” he elaborated.
The influencer ended the video by encouraging everyone to spread awareness about the devastation in Rafah. “If some people can do this to the Palestinians without any repercussions, what makes you think it could not happen to us one day? That’s something to think about”. As seen in the screenshots below, netizens applauded Ceddy for taking the time to film the video and thanked him for using his platform as an influencer to educate his followers.

The video also served as a reminder that rather than attacking those who were mentioned in the Blockout list or ignorant of the ongoing issue, more people should definitely follow Ceddy’s example and use their voices to spread awareness of the genocide in Palestine and provide more info on how they could help.
