1. Neighbour Club

Neighbour Club, the latest addition from the JWC Coffee Roastery group, is creating a buzz in Chinatown’s vibrant cafe scene. At this trendy spot, you can savour JWC’s famous blends, single-origin coffees, and inventive coffee coolers such as Kaya Butter Coffee and Guava Fizz.

The cafe also offers an assortment of pastries, pair it with your Guava Fizz and get the ultimate sweet and sour taste for this summer. For fur mommies and daddies, you’ll be pleased to know that Neighbour Club cafe is a pet-friendly cafe where you can bring your pups to.

2. Grumpy Bagels

Nestled in an old bungalow on Jalan Imbi, Grumpy Bagels is your new destination for satisfying your bagel cravings. Bagels with both savoury and sweet options offer something for everyone. They have an open-faced sandwich and hearty meal options like the Signature Grumpy Breakfast, Grumpy Bagels is sure to satisfy your taste.

  • Operating hours: 9am to 5pm (closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays)

3. The Eighth

Located on Old Klang Road, The Eight offers a serene cafe experience with its warm ambience and a skylight that bathes the space in natural light. The menu features unique drinks like the Tiramisu Latte, blending bittersweet coffee with creamy mascarpone, and the Coffee Matcha Latte, combining matcha’s earthy sweetness with robust coffee. The Eighth is a must-visit destination for a peaceful morning coffee, a unique latte, or a relaxing spot to unwind.

4. Luna Kitchen

Located on Jalan Tun H.S. Lee, Luna Kitchen is a cosy cafe offering satisfying baked goods. Its simple and comfortable space is ideal for enjoying a quick bite with a cup of coffee in the middle of KL. Their menu include the Lemon Blueberry Loaf, Lemon Poppyseed Loaf, and Banana Loaf. Stay tuned for more offerings from its hot kitchen, as they are still in their soft launch, featuring Russian and European fare.

5. Nareo Donut

Nareo Donut, a new spot in Taman Paramount, was co-founded by a Malaysian who honed his skills at Melbourne’s Shortstop Coffee & Donuts. Bringing the essence of Sutherland to Petaling Jaya, Nareo offers freshly baked doughnuts paired with freshly brewed coffee.

The cafe produces up to 300 doughnuts daily, it features at least eight flavours with rich glazes, enticing toppings, and creamy fillings. Crowd favourites include Boston Cream, Mandarin Yuzu, Coconut Kaya, Tiramisu, Hazelnut, Cookie & Cream, and Matcha Cheesecake.

6. N.I.C.E Bistronome

From the creators of Chateau Dionne comes N.I.C.E Bistronome, a must-visit eatery offering hearty and vibrant European cuisine. Drawing inspiration from the flavours of the French Riviera town, N.I.C.E Bistronome features refreshing and summery dishes. Highlights include the Niçoise Salad, Tiger Prawn Pasta, Burrata and Fig Salad, Escargot, and Duck Leg Confit.

7. Mossarium Cafe

Mossarium Cafe, which opened on 1st May, offers a unique experience for nature lovers. This cafe is a haven for fans of philodendrons and platyceriums, providing a serene escape from city life. Adorned with lush greenery, the cafe creates a vibrant, living ecosystem.

The founders have crafted an atmosphere that soothes the soul and delights the senses. Customers can enjoy offerings like matcha latte while surrounded by monster plants and moss-covered walls, providing a unique dining experience.

8. Kooky Bowl

For a personalised and satisfying lunch experience, check out the newly opened Kooky Bowl in Bandar Sunway. Their menu lets you customise your trays, selecting your preferred proteins, carbs, and greens. Don’t forget to indulge in their signature desserts and cakes, which you may recognise from their sister outlets, Kooky Cream and Kooky Plate.

9. Skillet

Skillet has unveiled its revamped location in Menara Hap Seng, promising a classy dining experience infused with Europe’s finest flavours. Led by chefs Raymond Tham and Eric Kit, the talented culinary team presents creative modern plates like quail eggs with fermented soybean chilli and tiger prawns with ramsons and angel hair pasta, ensuring a refined experience whether you’re there for lunch or dinner.

10. Mumu Cafe

Mumu Cafe, founded by the Mu sisters who began as home bakers, is a charming neighbourhood bakery/cafe. Every morning, you can enjoy freshly baked coffee buns with a freshly brewed cup of joe for a perfect Sunday treat, along with zesty Lemon Madeleines and Pineapple Tarts, all while enjoying background music.

Be sure to take home a couple of jars of their homemade spreads! With plans to expand their menu to include more breads, pastries, and hot foods, Mumu Cafe promises even more delightful offerings.
