On 30th March, the Queen of C-pop, Jolin Tsai (蔡依林), returned to the stage for the first show of her ‘Ugly Beauty Finale’ Tour. The singer performed at the Century Lotus Stadium in Loshan, Guangdong, China, showcasing her powerful vocals and captivating performances.
Along with Jolin’s soulful singing and on-point dancing, her many stage outfits also caught netizens’ attention. The singer is always known as a fashion-forward star, and her concerts are one of the places she gets to show off her impeccable fashion sense. Previously, Jolin got netizens talking about her skin-tight dress – and it looks like the multi-talented star upped her game for this encore concert.
Jolin started strong with a bold red number that fans have dubbed the ‘Red Queen’ look. While the red dress covered the Taiwanese pop star from the neck down, the structured silhouette gave Jolin a confident aura. Another red look from the night was one Chinese media named the “vicious scorpion woman” because of the bodice that looks like the body of a scorpion.
However, the most talked-about look from the night was the “mermaid outfit”, which featured a see-through nude-tone bodysuit. On the lower half of the outfit were large flowers going around her waist and a silver skirt with a slit up the side to show off her slender legs. However, the highlight of the look was the two flowers that covered her chest, solidifying the mermaid theme of the outfit.
Besides her sensual and strong personas, Jolin also showed off her cuter sides during the concert. One of her outfits for the concert was a light blue get-up that featured a checker-patterned top, skirt and knee-high boots. The accompanying gloves also had bubble sleeves attached to them, giving them a more youthful vibe. Jolin also put on a pink futuristic number, completing the look with pink sunglasses and a headpiece.
Fans expressed their excitement for the singer’s new concert tour, sharing their loving comments on her social media accounts. Jolin’s ‘Ugly Beauty Finale Tour’ will continue this week with a show at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre.
