Singer Yazmin Aziz is currently busy on her holiday in the United States and just like everyone else, she’s also very excited about the upcoming Hari Raya festivities. Earlier this week, the singer posted videos of her singing some Raya cover songs by other artists.
However, one of those videos caught netizens’ attention, not because of her singing or the song lyrics, but because of what was on her neck. Is it what people think it is? Here’s what she said:
A couple of days ago, Yazmin Aziz posted a video on both her TikTok channel and Instagram account of herself singing a cover of “Alamak Raya Lagi!”, a song by Malaysian girl group De Fam. The singer was seen singing the song in front of a mirror while hitting her hand on the dressing to provide beats to her acapella cover. “Have you bought your Raya outfit?” she captioned.
The video has received praise from fans and fellow celebs, however, most of the comments on both IG and TikTok were about the red marks that were seen on the 22-year-old’s neck. As seen in the screenshots above, many assumed that the marks were love bites or hickeys and called her out for shamelessly showing them in the video. Thankfully, her fans came to her defence by calling out those who could not differentiate a love bite from a scratch mark.
Yazmin obviously saw the discussion going on and edited her captions on Instagram saying, “And no, it’s not a love bite 🙄”. Once again, fans and fellow celebs noticed the change in captions and assured the singer that she didn’t need to explain herself and told her to ignore the rude comments.
It’s unfortunate that Yazmin Aziz had to butt in and clarify what the marks were but maybe it’s better than just letting the negative comments be until they fester into slander. Watch the video below and let us know if the marks looked like love bites or simply scratch marks:
