Another week, another whirlwind of totally EXTRA events! We were here, there and everywhere!

Guerlain Ultimate Boutique Launch At The Exchange TRX
Guerlain unveiled its first ultimate boutique in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX, with the first Southeast Asian Friend of Guerlain, Mile Phakphum. Designed to create an exquisite customer experience, the boutique highlights the Maison’s most precious creations – from Parfumrie d’Art to high cosmetics – as guests were invited to explore and experience the métiers d’Art novelties to discover their perfect fragrance scent and beauty routines. For the first time, customers will be able to indulge and luxuriate in exclusive facial treatments at the boutique’s facialist suite.
The magnificent interior takes inspiration from the “Bee concept” which pays tribute to the emblems of the Maison, expressing its high-end identity with tailor-made architecture and precious natural materials.
Meanwhile, Mile Phakphum graced the stage and surprised guests and fans with a live acoustic performance. The Thai actor and singer also introduced the L’Art & La Matiére perfume collection, which features unique and distinctive scents inspired by art.

Suria KLCC Raya Campaign Launch
As you may have already noticed, lots of malls around Malaysia have been getting ready to celebrate Raya. We were invited to Suria KLCC for an evening filled with joyous entertainment and cherished moments – the launch of their new Raya campaign. Giving us a sense of nostalgia, the mall’s centre court has been transformed into a kampung-like environment.
That’s not all. Right after buka puasa, we stepped outside onto the Esplanade KLCC to witness a larger-than-life 60-ft Pelita. This installation, recognised in the Malaysia Book of Records in 2022 as the Biggest “Lampu Pelita” Replica in Malaysia, showcases colourful woven textures on its panels.

‘Magnificence Of Raya’ At The Exchange TRX
The Exchange TRX is paying homage to the beauty and splendour of this Raya season with the ‘Magnificence of Raya’ campaign – a visual and experiential spectacle showcasing Malay culture, tradition, and art.
We recently explored the mall’s new decorations at Central Exchange – and we were definitely enthralled by the elegance and beauty of batik, seamlessly intermingled with the stunning displays and performances that will run from today until 21st April 2024.

Pavilion KL Sparkles In ‘Radiant Raya’ Campaign With Swarovski
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur brings the dazzle to this year’s Raya with their ‘Radiant Raya’ campaign. The celebration draws inspiration from the celestial beauty of the night sky, adding sparkle to each and every detail of the mall’s festive decor. The main highlight of the campaign is of course the stunning Swarovski pop-up and textile exhibition that occupies the centre concourse of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, shining a light on rich Malay heritage and culture.
The launch of the pop-up was graced by Swarovski’s Managing Director for India & Southeast Asia, Mr Lars Schmidt, Deputy CEO of Pavilion REIT, Patrick Liau, Head of Cards of Maybank Group Community Financial Services, B. Ravintharan, and the faces of Swarovski’s Raya campaign and friends of the brand. Malaysian powerhouse Misha Omar also made a special appearance to captivate the crowd with her mesmerising voice.

HONOR Magic6 Lineup Launch
We felt the magic through our bodies as HONOR debuted not one, not two, but four new smartphones on the Malaysian market. The began with the main flagship, the HONOR Magic6 and the HONOR Magic6 Pro, which the smartphone brand boasted are among the most durable flagship phones available. Guests had the special opportunity to put those claims to the test.
To go along with the grand launch event, the brand also debuted the HONOR Pad 9. However, we did mention four phones. Well, the last were made in a special collaboration with Porsche – the foldable smartphone PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR, and the extremely durable PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic6 RSR.

UNIQLO Ramadan Pop-Up At The Exchange TRX
In anticipation of this year’s Raya festive season, UNIQLO is inviting customers to a ‘Balik Raya with Comfort’ pop-up event, where they will experience the festivities in style and comfort.
Located right in front of the UNIQLO store on the Ground Floor of The Exchange TRX, the pop-up event not only offers a preview of the brand’s Raya 2024 collection, but gives customers a chance to participate in some fun games to win cool prizes.

Sunway Malls Launches ‘Gaya Riang Raya’ Festive Campaign
Sunway Malls ushers in the 2024 Raya season with their ‘Gaya Riang Raya’ campaign, putting a Moroccan twist on a timeless celebration for five of their malls. The launch at Sunway Putra was graced by HC Chans, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Malls & Theme Parks, as well as other members of the Sunway Malls senior management.
At the magical ceremony, guests were entertained by a captivating performance before the officiation of the Raya campaign. We also got a look at all the stunning decor that was brilliantly put together to mimic lively and vibrant Middle Eastern street markets. Each Sunway Mall has its own take on the theme, with different activities at all malls – so check out Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity, Sunway Putra, Sunway Bix Box Retail Park and Sunway Carnival to experience it all!

Sisley Paris Reintroduces SISLEŸA L’Intégral Anti-Âge Cream
Sisley Paris, the independent French luxury cosmetics brand, introduces a new addition to their iconic SISLEŸA L’Intégral Anti-Âge line – the same beloved formula, but in a new, fresh gel cream texture. The anti-ageing line, which debuted in 1999, saw its first reinvention in 2016 with the Extra Rich texture, and now, the new texture aims to satisfy existing and future users who have been seeking something lighter and more comfortable for hot and humid weather.
During the press event, we got to hear more about the new cream, which aims to serve the same purpose as its predecessors and deliver the same high-efficacy results. Sisley’s Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Nicolas Chesnier, shared details about the cream, including its development and test results. We also got to hear him speak about the brand, why customer satisfaction is important to them, and even his personal favourites from Sisley.

Avenue K Unveils ‘Magnificent Mubarak’ Raya Campaign
Avenue K is shining its brightest star to welcome visitors to its ‘Magnificent Mubarak’ celebration. Featuring sparkling stars, crescent moons and golden Arabic lanterns that illuminate every corner of the mall, the campaign provides a warm glow that lights up the festive season of joy and blessings. Avenue K also invites shoppers to celebrate Malaysia’s vibrant cultures through captivating performances of traditional Malay dances.
The launch event was graced by Rachel Er, the Centre Manager of Avenue K Shopping Mall, as well as members of the senior management. Guests also got a tour of the centre court to learn what visitors can expect when shopping at Avenue K during this festive season. There was also a wonderful dance troupe that mesmerised the crowd with their rhythmic movements and contagious energy.

Bath & Body Works Scentimental Raya At Fahrenheit88
Bath & Body Works sent us back to our childhood as the brand debuted its Chasing Fireflies collection. This latest addition to the bath shop chains’ extensive hygiene product lineup is a one-of-a-kind blend of fruity and floral notes, sprinkled with a hint of enchantment. The fragrance notes – golden pear, jasmine blooms, and illuminated woods – come together to celebrate tradition and nostalgia, capturing the essence of Hari Raya celebrations.
This collection is more than just a fragrance; it’s a bridge to the past and a celebration of the moments that bring us together. ANTA Ramadan Gathering
From helping budding athletes get their running start, to pushing professionals in the field to bring home the gold, ANTA has been assisting pros and beginners to reach their goals. In this vein, the popular sports apparel brand has received a lot of support from locals since it arrived in Malaysia four years ago. Now, the company is giving back to the community by launching the ANTABersamaAnda campaign, whose goal is to help those less fortunate during iftar.
To mark the occasion, we were invited to dine at a special buka puasa buffet held at Hokkaido Table at the Exchange TRX. There, we dined on delicious local cuisine that was both delicious and filling. However, the treats did not end with food, as guests were given a special tote bag for them to customise with their name, as well as other ANTA-themed goodies. This is the first of many plans that ANTA announced, with many more to come in 2024 and in the following years.

PLAY LINE FRIENDS POP UP with (G)I-DLE
We got the chance to experience the Play Line Friends pop up with K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE at 1 Utama just last week, and K-pop fan or not, this is definitely a pop-up you won’t want to miss. Be it exploring their various and plentiful merch of (G)I-DLE’s latest 2nd full album, taking a selfie with the group’s signatures on mirrors, trying your luck with their photocard gacha or getting a photo with the girls via their photobooths, there’s plenty to do and see in this little corner of 1 Utama.
Women’s Day @ The RuMa KL
Love, Bonito and The RuMa KL joined hands last week to celebrate International Women’s Day in a memorable way. From being inspired by well-known Malaysian women who are leaders in their own right like Datuk Nicol David, Jenn Chia and Heidy Quah to hashing things out over The RuMa’s special International Women’s Day-themed Afternoon Tea Set, it was certainly an event made to celebrate the achievements and empowerment of women.
