It’s definitely not out of place for an attractive model to receive direct messages (DM) from people online – even our very own MsPuiyi has been DMed by some famous Hollywood celebs. However, it’s still amusing to see celebrities get caught sliding into someone’s DM.
On 5th March, South Korean influencer and model Applee (애프리) took to her Instagram account to share her interaction with a world-renowned football player. The footballer in question is ex-Manchester United star Jesse Lingard, who recently transferred to the K-League, joining Korean football club FC Seoul.
Through her Instagram Stories, Applee shared that the athlete recently slid into her DMs, albeit with a simple “Hi”. The model also revealed that Jesse liked one of her stories, sharing a screenshot as proof. In her Story, the model said about the interaction, “Wow, I am a huge fan of Jesse Lingard, and he liked my photo and sent me a DM. I’m so honoured!”.
While the interaction seemed innocuous, the nature of Applee’s content may suggest the football star had other intentions. Applee, who boasts over 1.98 million followers on Instagram, is known for her voluptuous figure, particularly her large booty. The model is nicknamed the “Kim Kardashian of Korea” because of her bottom, which apparently measures 46 inches. She’s also known for her rather suggestive Instagram posts, which often show her in a pose that accentuates her figure.
Despite the model expressing joy over the interaction, many Korean football fans think the DM doesn’t give Jesse the best impression. While the footballer was a star player in his home country, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations in South Korea because his FC Seoul debut ended with him getting a yellow card after playing for only 13 minutes.
It’s unknown whether that was the end of the interactions between Jesse and Applee – but what do you think about this matter? Do you think this will impact Jesse’s image amongst Korean fans?
