A good marketing campaign catches the public’s attention and keeps them talking about the brand. Recently, coffee brand Wonda Coffee launched their immersive marketing campaign on the LRT Kelana Jaya line – and it’s safe to say that riders and netizens are very impressed by it!
Several LRT Kelana Jaya riders recently shared about the coffee brand’s marketing campaign to promote their repackaged canned coffee range. According to the riders, the campaign featured imagery of Wonda’s canned coffee and also included the smell! Several photos and videos reveal that the train coach had an automatic fragrance dispenser fitted to spray coffee scents that fill the entire coach with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
@hazmiftw Have you seen this wonda coffee ads in LRT train, in KL ? The whole train does smell like wonda coffee! #rapidkl #marketing #wondacoffeemalaysia #coffee #marketing #fyp #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #immersive #scentcoffee
Many netizens have reacted positively to the marketing campaign by Wonda Coffee. Some riders who had the opportunity to board the train said they now know why the train smelt like coffee. Others say they hope to catch the train the next time they ride the Kelana Jaya line to get the scented experience. However, some did joke that boarding the coffee train might make you thirsty.
Thankfully, Wonda Coffee also thought about that because they’re also giving free coffees so LRT riders can get a taste of their products. According to Twitter user Hazmi, riders who scanned QR codes available on the overhead handrails within the LRT train coach can use them to redeem a free can of Wonda coffee at LRT Ampang Park. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the coffee brand implemented a scent dispenser on a train because Wonda ran a similar campaign in 2014.
If you want to experience this coffee train, you’ll want to look out for the Set 60 train on the LRT Kelana Jaya line – and don’t forget to redeem your free coffee!
